Fresh off a sold-out release show and growing international momentum, the band brings their mix of Southern rock swagger, modern blues, and raw Alpine-born Americana back to one of Salzburg’s best live stages. Brother Buffalo is a six-piece band consisting of musicians from the USA, Great Britain, Italy and Austria; born in the heart of the Alps and raised with the raw spirit of American roots music.

Dave Long grew up with American roots music and brought that passion to Austria. In 2018, he founded Brother Buffalo with a handful of songs, a guitar, and the idea that music should touch both body and soul. He writes most of the band's lyrics and melodies, drawing influences from blues, Southern rock, and the narrative of old outlaw country records. On stage, Dave isn't a protagonist—he simply means what he sings and plays, from the gut. He's not concerned with being the loudest person in the room. It's about saying something genuine and meaning it.
A native of Rome, Alessandro brings a unique blend of Mediterranean passion and raw Americana to his guitar playing. His style combines the fiery rhythms of flamenco with the soulful melodies of gypsy jazz and blues. On Brother Buffalo, Alessandro's approach is all about the song—his solos are profound conversations, not mere showmanship. He adds depth and emotion to every note, giving the music a vibrant and authentic feel.
Ben is a musician you won't find anywhere else. Born in England and raised on everything from funk to folk, he's a true multi-instrumentalist and showman through and through. Whether playing the saxophone, smashing congas, or belting out harmonies, he brings the energy to fill a room and beyond. For Ben, it's not about being in the spotlight—it's about lighting up the entire stage.
If Brother Buffalo is a freight train roaring across the American musical landscape, Christoph Roither is the steel rail it rides on. Born and raised in Salzburg, Christoph brings deep Austrian roots to the band’s gritty, groove-heavy sound. With a bass style that blends funk finesse, rock-solid timing, and a deep love for soulful rhythm, he’s the backbone every wild blues outfit dreams of.
Fabian Uitz is the sonic storyteller behind Brother Buffalo’s keys, weaving cinematic textures and soulful melodies into every track. A Salzburg native with a filmmaker’s eye and a bluesman’s heart, Fabi brings rich atmosphere and emotional depth to the band’s sound—whether through dusty upright piano, gospel organ swells, or swirling psychedelic synths. His playing doesn’t just support the music—it expands it.
Hailing from the rugged hills of Wales, Lewis brings a powerful yet nuanced drumming style to Brother Buffalo. His beats form the backbone of the band's sound, combining rock-solid rhythms with creative impulses that drive the music forward. Influenced by everything from traditional Welsh folk to modern rock, Lewis knows how to infuse each song with a sense of grounding and vitality. Known for his energetic performance and impeccable timing, he is the driving force behind Brother Buffalo. Offstage, Lewis is a laid-back individual with a deep love for rhythms that touch the heart.
